Meet Chris Finney

Christopher J. Finney

Christopher J. Finney received his law degree from St. Louis University. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an assistant circuit attorney in the Circuit Attorney’s Office in St. Louis. While at the Circuit Attorney’s, Chris handled a variety of issues, including Grand Jury indictments, felony gun and drug crimes. After the CAO’s, Chris accepted a job at a large insurance firm. He gained insight into how an insurance company and defense team analyze and handle litigation.

In 2012, he joined his father and his brother at Finney Law Office, LLC. There, Chris focused his practice on personal injury claims, including trucking, auto, wrongful death and premises liability.

In 2017, Chris opened Mutrux Finney, P.C., to continue his representation of individuals. Since then, Chris founded Finney Injury Law so that he can expand to include co-counseling agreements with attorneys around the Midwest.

While in law school, Chris was awarded the David J. Hensler academic award for excellence in trial advocacy. In private practice, he was selected as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum at the age of 30. Chris was also selected as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers, an honor that is limited to 2.5% of all practicing attorneys in MO. In 2015, Chris was selected as a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Forum membership acknowledges excellence in advocacy. Chris is currently an adjunct professor at SLU Law, involved in Trial Advocacy.
