By Tad Thomas | Jul 27, 2021 | Tad's Tech Corner

Whether you’ve been working in the legal profession for decades or you’re new to the field, you know that today’s courtrooms are drastically affected by the most current technology. To build the strongest cases, it’s imperative to find trial presentation software that works for you and with you. Unfortunately, with so many apps and software on the market, it can be hard to find the right one for your law firm. Fortunately, iLitigate has the features you need.

For years, I wanted someone somewhere to come out with modern trial presentation software. My team could potentially use five or six different applications to manage just one case. Unfortunately, there was no software out there that had all the features needed to represent clients properly. One day, I finally decided to solve the problem myself, and iLitigate was born.

What is iLitigate?

There are several factors attorneys need to consider when choosing a trial presentation software, including how many exhibits and depositions a case has, who will be running the software, what technology is available at the trial site, and more.

Experienced and inexperienced trial attorneys alike know that the software best suited for a case can make a significant difference in the outcome. So when I designed iLitigate, I considered the applications I regularly needed in any given trial and was sure to include them in an adaptive and intuitive manner.

Quality trial presentation software offers the basic presentation of documents in courtroom settings, functions as a complete database that lets you call up whatever file type you’re looking for, offers flexibility when it comes to planning and preparing the presentation, and lets you add annotations to your case notes. iLitigate does all that and more. In order to understand what sets iLitigate apart from the rest of the trial presentation software on the market, let’s take a look at its unique features.

How Is iLitigate Different From Other Trial Presentation Software?

While there are a number of trial presentation software on the market, none of them stack up to iLitigate. The unique features are tailored for attorneys’ needs, like being accessible via iPad and offering secure, reliable storage for important information. Some of the most prominent features iLitigate has include the following:

  • Trial Presentation. With iLitigate’s advanced trial presentation features, attorneys can highlight, underline, and redact text, call out portions of the document for easy review, and access their presentation wirelessly.
  • Legal Case Collaboration. With iLitigate, trial attorneys can collaborate with colleagues and employees to ensure everyone is on the same page for any given case. The app makes it easy to share documents, videos, pictures, and more with anyone relevant to the case—including individuals in other law firms. Different users can annotate the documents, as well as view others’ notes. The legal case collaboration feature also makes it easy for lawyers to access the files they need, no matter where they are.
  • Document Review. Document review is crucial for trial attorneys. When done correctly, document review can help lawyers comply with their ethical duties, avoid sanctions, save time and money, and provide quality legal representation. iLitigate adapts to users’ needs and lets a legal team look at all of the discovery, medical records, and other important information simultaneously. There’s also the storage via Dropbox, which will keep sensitive data secure.

iLitigate is currently in a closed beta mode. While this software isn’t available to the masses just yet, keep an eye on the Apple App Store for the official release of iLitigate. For more information or to get in touch with us, click here.
